Carbon Z Cub Review/RC Hobby Talk / RC Hobby Shop Reviews

I had a chance to fly the Carbon Z Cub the other day and I have to say it was a blast to put through it`s paces. It might be a little on the expensive side for the beginner, but you get a lot of quality plane here son. It will fit the bill for a trainer or advanced pilots alike, and a great performer on floats as well. Assembly and break down of the Carbon Z is a breeze too, making it very easy to transport.

Based on a platform known for its legendary versatility, the Carbon-Z Cub makes giant scale so simple—now even more RC pilots can go big. Its enormous Tundra wheels tackle just about any terrain you choose to romp from, or you can easily mount the optional Carbon-Z Cub Float Set so no RC adventure boundaries stand in your way.

E-flite’s New Blade mCX2/RC Hobby Shop

The Blade mCX2 micro coaxial RC helicopter is the latest product using the now, somewhat legendary, mCX platform. First was the original mCX which changed the micro coaxial heli industry over night. Then came the mCX-S300, followed by the very cool mCX Tandem Rescue. All these birds have different appeal for different people, but there is one constant they all share – the amazing easy to fly fun factor.
The mCX2 is the next logical progression, adding some very nice upgrades taking cues from the very popular higher performance Blade mSR and Blade CX2. Click image at right >

Impressions:
First off is the new full body style stemming from the larger Blade CX2. This gives the new mCX2 a larger “presence” in the air making it look bigger than the mCX, although the dimensions are almost identical. The new body comes in two halves (a conventional front pod & the back tail section). No more little o-rings to loose like we are all use to on the base mCX & S300. The new Blade mCX2 uses small grommets, just like on the Blade mSR that stay attached to the body work – nice!

BNF or RTF
This little thing is so much fun to fly and very strong takes a crash no problem. In stability mode its fun and easy to fly but be ready when you turn it off it becomes a wild beast.

The Blade MQX is no doubt an easy to fly machine, and does well outdoors. However, it contains way too many moving parts, is bulky, and is not much fun to fly in small spaces.
